sa mga nagpopost ng videos, baka pwede idaan sa piped or one of the invidious instances instead na youtube link. example: palitan ng yewtu.be and youtu.be sa url. would really appreciate this, nagtatry kasi ako iwasan ang youtube.

sa comments kasi, i can copy the video url and edit it after pasting sa safari. pero sa post, i cant copy the url, nago-automatic play sa youtube.

(hindi ko napapansin kapag nasa android ako because of newpipe. am trying out ios apps at the moment and unfortunately, walang newpipe equivalent)

    maraming salamat.

Loved him in Mr. Robot. But for some reason he won an award for Bohemian Rhapsody and keeps getting projects with the same stilted one-dimensional acting. And yes, he does the same thing in Oppenheimer. First scene niya pa lang he does the face.

Bradley Cooper got robbed bigtime by Rami Malek back then btw. Cooper took piano, guitar, and voice lessons for more than a year to make his own character, while Rami Malek lip synced to impersonate a vocalist that everyone already knew.

It’s default software on Windows 10/Windows 11 22H2. I started using it once they made it available on Github a couple years back and it’s pretty neat. You can upgrade your apps with just winget upgrade --all, search if an app is available on their pseudo-repository with winget search <app name>. You can also export/import a list of your installed applications if you say, want to make an easy migration from system to another.

This is pretty neat. Probably a safer and secure way to install applications, just like I initially did with Linux Mint earlier this year.

Only difference though is that the installers for software not on the MS Store are pulled from their respective sites. So there may still be a small risk if the site hosting the installer has been compromised.

Anyway, with this method, we can guarantee that we are installing apps from official source.

Gen Z daw doesn’t like using capitalization.

Especially if it’s a whole ass paragraph tapos wala talagang capitalization. Parang ayaw ko na basahin yung post for that sole reason alone.

Tapos kapag nakakita ako ng pa-survey or formal-ish document / interaction or whatnot and may pa-cute emojis na biglang naka-singit. Napapa da fuq is that ako. Tanggalin mo nga yan. I’m all for cute emojis tho, paki-lugar lang lol.

Is it a petty pet peeve? Maybe. Siguro tumatanda na nga ako. sigh

using non-capitalizing words started when deadmau5 was huge back in mid-2000s until mid-2010s.

dunno, i get influence by him with these lowercase typings. it’s not really a generational thing. somehow, nasa default smartphone keyboard rin ang rason.

ako naman, si ee cummings. who not only avoided capitalization, but also apostrophes. kaya andami kong comments na grammatically incorrect (eg s vs 's).
        also not a gen z.
mas icky sa akin yung pinipilit gumamit ng fancy words kahit hindi akma sa gusto iparating.

      Probably quicksand.

I vaguely remember watching a lot of shows in the 90s that had a quicksand scene and it seemed really terrifying.

Took me growing up a little to realize that quicksand isn’t something I should expect to encounter on a daily basis.

My first exposure to quicksand giving me the heebie-jeebies was that Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories episode wherein their kid died and got reunited with his now dead wife. I guess it’s intended to be touching/bittersweet, pero it really made me fear quicksands.

I wasn’t afraid of the dark, nor was I afraid of aswangs, manananggal, etc.

No, my young dumbass was afraid of this (first 5 seconds pa lang tangina I was scared shitless (literally would cry sa first 5 seconds pa lang ng music). Never stayed to finish the intro, never even waited to find out what the hell this game was… until like I was 16 (ish).

I was really furious to find out SEVERAL YEARS LATER that this was not even remotely close to a horror game, but a fucking Mahjong game (Dragon’s Eye Plus Shanghai 3). Really glad that no one really remembered from my circle of friends, or else they would have NEVER, ever let me live this shit down LMAO.

      This was my #KidsAreFuckingStupid moment.

My cousin was afraid of those Chinese ornamental fortune cats that wave it’s paw up and down. 😂

As for me, I get creeps from those knee height pale dress up dolls.

Camera flash. You can take photos of me just fine without flash (or if we’re outside and the flash isn’t as noticeable), but as soon as it’s indoors and you need flash, I’ll be out.

Evening local TV used to scare me. Unsettling commercials (Karne Ka Lang sa Hazing, Pray the Rosary bumper), gory news reports/true crime shows (Calvento Files), and horror anthologies (Tales from the Darkside, Regal Shocker).

I got a gift from a person na tinurn down ko a few months ago. It makes me awkward kasi I don’t want to receive things from them. Hindi talaga ako interesado.

Sabi ko sa friends ko, balak kong ibalik yung regalo. Ang harsh ko daw. Ang bad daw ng gagawin ko.

I’m like??? Dude, I turned this person gently before. I was clear and direct. Naiinis ako kasi bakit parang trabaho kong maging sensitive kahit matagal ko nang sinabing ayaw ko nga.

I didn’t care much for it myself, but it’s made by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach (writer for most of Wes Anderson’s films) so I’m curious to see the output.
