Yeah they had a look of “Hey human, you got food for us pwease?” and not trying to harm him or anything. Dude was overly scared imo but then again it probably is a little unsettling to have a group of giant animals coming at you.

If you aren’t expecting it and you’re just out hiking, I could understand being freaked out until you’re out of the situation. Cows are generally friendly as hell and I really can’t imagine them doing any harm, but if I saw that kinda crowd I would think to myself “this is too many cows for me to comfortable with alone in the woods”. I would probably also back away and keep a tree between myself and the crowd, I’d probably have a way funnier one way conversation with the cows where I loudly explain they’re probably super cool but they’re really big and there’s a lot of em at once and it’s making me nervous and probably several apologies. A few less cows and I’d be trying to make friends tho, cows are cute as hell, had one lay down next to me and sleep with her head on my lap once.

They’re cows man this is what they do. They walk up to anything in their fields and stare at them from like 5-10m away and shit themselves at any sudden movements. They will do literally nothing else.

God what a weird guy. THEY’RE COWS DOING COW THINGS.

watching this video only made the reaction of the man in the video I posted look even more ridiculous, lol. cows really are just curious creatures, I’m not sure why someone would think that a swarm of cows would approach you because they want to collectively kill you or beat the shit out of you or something

I understand not being too comfortable with being swarmed by cows. You could get trip and get smashed bad, that is too many cows for one dude alone in the woods, but I’d be more concerned about the danger a well meaning crowd of 1000lb bovine could be in an accident than think they’d actively try to harm me. They’re fucking cows. Bred by us for thousands of years to be easier to kill, they’re notably docile animals. I wouldn’t not be scared, but dude is going a bit far here. For sure retreat and keep talking, but there’s no need to be afraid.

yeah you’re right, it’s reasonable to feel anxious and want to move away from them in case of an accident, the response of him recording himself screaming and spraying mace at them as if he was about to capture his death on film though is just a bit silly

Yeah, also if you’re filming, I’m not super convinced you’re fr scared. Back away, keep talking and the stating close to trees just in case are all fair play, the rest is extra as hell.
