Mass Rally Held in Pyongyang of DPRK
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) – A Pyongyang mass rally took place at the May Day Stadium on June 25, the day of struggle against U.S. imperialism.
Attending the mass rally were more than 100 000 people, including officials and workers of working people’s organizations, ministries, national agencies, institutions and industrial establishments and youth and students in Pyongyang.
On hand were members of the diplomatic corps and military attaches corps in the DPRK and overseas Koreans who are staying here.
The stadium was full of the spirit of avengers to annihilate the enemy who massacred the Korean people. The participants in the rally watched a video disclosing the thrice-cursed crimes committed by the U.S. imperialist aggressors and the ROK puppets during the Fatherland Liberation War, and the enemy’s ever-escalating moves to stifle the DPRK.
The speakers, in reflection of the retaliatory spirit of all the people, expressed their will to annihilate the U.S. imperialists and the ROK puppets, the unchangeable arch enemy, at any cost, bitterly denouncing the inhumane crimes committed by the sworn enemy.
They said that the frantic moves of the U.S. imperialists and the ROK puppets to ignite a nuclear war, oblivious of the shameful historical lesson, in which they suffered the bitter defeat by the DPRK people all out in the sacred war for defending the country more than 70 years ago, clearly shows the true colors of the aggressors and provocateurs that can never change despite the lapse of 700 or 7 000 years.
They said that they will always bear in mind the immutable truth that the might of the country and the people should be strong in order to defend their destiny and future, ceaselessly bolster up the strength of the country, the strongest war deterrent with the most just mission, and concentrate on preparing for the all-people resistance, thus clearly showing those disturbing the cause of the DPRK what miserable and bitter end they will meet.
Saying that hitting the 12 major targets for national economy development just means dealing a sledgehammer blow to the enemy, the speakers expressed their will to make innovations and increase production at their worksites and achieve greater patriotic successes, thus fully demonstrating the dignity and might of the country and emerge always victorious in the confrontation with the imperialists and the U.S.
Then followed a demonstration.
The demonstrators marched, hardening their unshakable outlook on the arch enemy and steadfast resistance will and chanting the slogans for annihilating the enemy with strong fighting spirit and self-confidence to win a great victory in the sacred war against the U.S. imperialists and the ROK puppets. -0-

“umh, paid protestors, much. did you know if they didn’t attend their entire family would be thrown into turbo mega gulag???” source: my ass
Uncritical support to turbo-mega-gulaging clowns who choose not to show up to the anti-imperialism rally
I keep forgetting how much liberals seem to literally believe the DPRK is this Truman Show esque society where everything and everyone is performative, existing only for the benefit of onlooking western liberals.
This sort of belief is extremely pervasive and keeps coming up time and time again whenever I talk about the DPRK with literally anyone in my irl life, and it still manages to blindside me every time with how truly, deeply unserious this shit is in the west
Even more shocking is that actually going to the country isn’t enough to convince them. There was a video on Reddit of a guy in a North Korean car shop loudly filming the place and saying the people there were actors with a straight face. And the Reddit liberals all believed him and didn’t once accuse him of being an insane conspiracist.
Omg yeah those comments are annoying
Seeing a crowd that massive in a rally against US imperialism got me choked up. If only the rest of the global south was as based.
God, I’ve seen what you’ve done for others…
Predicting lib brain: “Sickening. What they’re doing is so close to saluting Hitler if you imagine their hands were also extended”
Lib brain:
Any organized crowd of people I don’t like = Literally the Nuremberg rallies = Definitive proof they are all as bad as the nazis
It’s like a Taylor Swift concert but based
I have to admit, I don’t get the suit coat with no (visible) shirt. Not a criticism, just an observation.
I think it is a version of the Chinese Zhongshan suit, or “Mao suit” that was originally introduced by Sun Yat-Sen. Wearing that instead of the more western suit and tie can be seen as a statement of sovereignty, similar to how very few Iranian men wears neckties as they are seen as highly politicised western garments.
They’re soo neatly organized 😍
I love that the DPRK says shit like “thrice-cursed” in their English translations. They rock
Holy shit this is just like Tinymensquared and 1986.
And meanwhile I’m sitting at work in the evil empire
I’m sure there is a CIA manual somewhere on what to do when behind enemy lines.
I would have enjoyed school pep rallies if they were like this
Omg yes!
School Spirit equals soviet power plus electrification of the whole country

Incredibly based. Why did the rest of us give up on showing such clear of a message? At this point I’m hoping there’s no afterlife, because we deserve to be shunned by our ancestors.
Just for interesting edification, here’s the best translation of one banner I could get:
“조선로동당의 혁명적 군사정치는 미제침략자들을 소멸시킬 것이다!”
Breaking it down:
- 조선로동당의 (Joseon Rodongdang-ui): “Korean Workers’ Party’s”
- 혁명적 (hyeongmyeongjeok): “revolutionary”
- 군사정치는 (gunsajeongchineun): “military politics”
- 미제 (mije): “American imperialism” (shortened form)
- 침략자들을 (chimryakjadeul-eul): “aggressors”
- 소멸시킬 (somyeolsikil): “will annihilate”
- 것이다 (geos-ida): “(it) is” (declarative ending)
A fairly literal translation
“The revolutionary military politics of the Korean Workers’ Party will annihilate the American imperialist aggressors!”
