That’s weird. I thought they said it was because he had a cold.

    It happens to everyone eventually.

Either you die, or you live long enough for this to be a concern.

Dementia is more prevalent at older ages. About 3% of adults ages 70 to 74 had dementia in 2019, compared with 22% of adults ages 85 to 89 and 33% of adults ages 90 and older.6

    https://www.prb.org/resources/fact-sheet-u-s-dementia-trends/

And in case you haven’t heard, being president tends to speed up the normal effects of aging due to stress.

Biden has spent 12 years in the White House, and half a century in federal politics.

Like, this ain’t a binary thing, it accumulates over time pretty much constantly.

And Biden is 100% showing signs that are 100% normal for his age.

I mean, this is the American healthcare system, do you think those numbers are actual rates or more people in their 70s and 80s can’t afford treatment anyways and go undiagnosed?

And sundowning is something that happens prior to a dementia diagnosis…

It’s literally one of the first warning signs that often goes ignored and rationalized for years or even a decade before diagnosis happens. Lots of times there’s never a diagnosis, because we just accept it as normal at that age.

      pure conjecture and deflection

I genuinely don’t understand how your reply was meant to be anything but support for my original reply.

        Huh?

        I’m not trying to argue.

Just pointing out that sundowning alone isn’t dementia.

It’s one of the first recognizable signs. Lots of geriatric people experience years of sundowning before full blown dementia.

You seemed to be acting like dementia was a binary thing, and the same as dementia. That’s not how it develops. You have nights like Biden had at the debate, slowly more and more frequently till it’s not just happening at night. It’s happening all the time.

Biden’s team hasn’t been honest about his progression, we don’t know how bad it is because they’re hiding it.

But we sure as shit know that it doesn’t get better. And he’s trying to say he’s ready for 4 more years of the most stressful job in America, at a time when it’s even more stressful than normal.

Biden is a risk, and even if he wins, he’s not magically capable just because he won an election.

If Biden wins. We’re stuck with him as president for four more years unless he dies. If he won’t bow out now, he’s not doing it during his second term.
