They want to do this to everybody with their Web Environment Integrity so everybody has to use software and operating systems “approved” by fucking Google.

Be cool if we had some kinda enforceable rule to stop these companies. We could call it a reg… reg… regular rule. No that’s not it. Regency. Reginaldency. Doesn’t quite convey the point. Drawing a blank tbh. Oh I know! It’s blame the libs

This episode made me stop watching Black Mirror for good. It was way too disturbing and I’m someone who doesn’t even flinch while watching horror.

This episode made me watch all of Black Mirror, and let me tell you it didn’t stand up to this one. Watch White Christmas episode and you’re good. Maybe add San Junipero, this one is really good too and it’s more optimistic.

I’ve watched White Christmas too after hearing so much about it, and that, my friend, was the final nail to the coffin for me. Anymore Black Mirror and I’m going to cry.

You just convinced me that I do NOT want to watch it. I can’t handle that type of stuff, but I love sci-fi, so I was considering it. Thank you!!!

I’m a huge fan of sci-fi and I do love myself some sci-fi horror, like those in Love, Death & Robots and the German series Dark, but even Dark is nowhere as dark as Black Mirror is. The difference being Black Mirror is entirely focused on showing you the darkest side of human nature. There are no redemptions in most of the stories. No typical hero journey, no light vs dark narrative; just shit going from bad to worse to nightmare fuel.

If there’s one thing you can take away from the entire series, it wouldn’t be “Technology is bad”, but “Humans are fucked up”.

Black Mirror is just so unrelentingly cynical about human nature. I watched the one with the lady whose memory is removed and “normal” people delight in following her and recording her, and it’s all a big production to punish this women for doing a pretty fucked up thing.

Every episode seems to just say “aren’t human beings the worst?” The sci fi is interesting sometimes, but I can’t really go through life believing that humans would behave like they do in that show.

Just read the episode plot summaries on Wikipedia. That way you get the ideas, and save yourself the time and trauma.

I liked the last season. It was something to watch any way.

It was not Black Mirror though. I don’t know what the hell they were thinking. That first episode kind of followed through and then it was all downhill.

Again, I liked it. It wasn’t too terrible. It wasn’t what I was expecting and that disappointed me.

Well, the two episodes really worked now that I think about it. The astronaut episode and the quantum computer episode.

Ok now that I’ve typed it out, if you haven’t seen it just watch those two and forget the rest.
