So you, an avowed socialist, are still fine with the wage theft of using AI trained on the work of real artists without compensation for your “artwork” though, right?
Friend, like I said, I spent 20 years in a mktg/PR dept as a designer and writer. So no, it’s not wage theft, because I wouldn’t hire anyone else to do it—I’d do it myself anyway. But is it wage theft for others to use? Oh, absolutely! But meh, us being on this forum is chipping away at the publishing industry. How many people read newspapers anymore? You reading the news online? That’s taking jobs from printers and their entire industry.
And, look there, I see you’re still stuck on thinking I want Trump to win! That’s soooo cute. But, come on now, Trump winning? Not a chance. Not even close. You realize that, right?
Harris will win by a landslide, so why so glum?
I’m telling ya, you care for me! Asking me to seek mental help. You’re looking out for me. We’re almost friends. I can feel it. We’re close.
But I gotta be honest with you: I am experiencing long-term happiness right now. I love my life. Thank you for caring, though! By the way, how have you gone this many comments without bringing up sealioning yet?!
Come on, at least the cartoon post. Thanks, friend! :)
But you didn’t do the artwork yourself, you used AI to do it. That is wage theft because the AI was undoubtedly trained on work where the creators were not offered compensation. You could have paid for a stock image or you could have done a half-ass job yourself but you opted for the more morally-bankrupt version.
And I didn’t say you wanted Trump to win, I just pointed out you were following the same playbook.
For the rest, I didn’t bring up Harris or anything else election related, just your descent into obsession and fixation that is not indicative of happiness or good mental health. You can still choose to get better.
But you didn’t do the artwork yourself, you used AI to do it.
But I would have done it myself if I didn’t use AI. So I wouldn’t have ever hired anyone do it. I’ve done plenty of illustrations and paintings, but they take way longer. I was in the industry for 20 years, friend. They didn’t have AI when I was doing it. I had to write that shit AND design it AND illustrate. Patient education materials too. You want some soul-crushing work, try that! lol

Yep! And actually I love how seriously you used sentence. I like how you are so emotionally charged when talking to me. I’m inspired to put that sort of behavior into a story I am working on. Thank you! See? You are so awesome for give me so much stuff to work with! Please please tell me you are this serious in every conversation you have in real life. Fascinating! Thank you! :)
BTW, how many more times are you going to edit this? Never know when it’s suitable to respond when you’re feverishly rewriting your comments constantly.
Well, that’s the ongoing saga of being a crappy writer. I type too fast. Then I think of something else what will clarify things, add to it. Take something away.
Trust me, just as annoying for me as it is for you. Even the stories I published to the writing community have been changed a few times after posting. lmao
But you know, there is a solution. You could just not reply or block me. Not that I am giving you advice, but you know…
lol The fact that you think I was trying to set the terms of engagement, by making a suggestion, is hilarious. You’re awesome, friend. But hey, at least you didn’t post the sea lion 'toon; so we’re getting somewhere! Thank you! :)
You give me so much. I want to give back. My current over-the-top horror story is fun. Here is a lil excerpt:
As he feverishly tore through the pages of the dusty book about the Dark Mormons, a creeping sensation crawled up his spine. Something was slipping away. His humanity? No, that couldn’t be it. He was still a decent guy, wasn’t he? Caring, kind, ok maybe not too popular, but who needed tons of friends when you had a heart?
He viewed himself as a geek, sure, but a geek with soul. Yet… something gnawed at him. Was it possible? Could the Dark Mormon stuff actually be real? The thought slithered into his mind, leaving an unsettling chill in its wake. He had a tendency to take things too seriously. Maybe he should just ease up a bit. He smiled to himself, no way any of this could be real.
He read the next passage, the words sinking like stones in his gut. It spoke of a man named Jebediah, a fanatic consumed by his obsession with raising the Dark Prophet Smith. A devotion so twisted, so absolute, that he sacrificed his entire family to bring the prophet into the world.
Then there some loud shuffling noises, dust flying the air and settling down. Maybe mistakenly put down as it was a rat. blah, blah, blah. The guy is an accountant looking for signs and numbers in a dusty old book of Dark Mormon secrets. You know, the usual trope. Terrible, terrible writing. But hey, it’s going to the community as soon as I finish. Thank you! :)

So now you’re just threatening people with more bullying? Do you not see how unhinged you’ve become?
Threatening people?! What are you even going on about? I haven’t threatened anyone. Give me an example.
Saying your behavior towards me inspires me to parody it, isn’t a threat. What in the world are you talking about?
And friend, if you post that sealion toon again, that’s gonna knock all this down! lol
Seriously, get help
You too. Thank you! :)

No, you don’t get to set the terms of engagement in a public forum
