killer mike is a landlord
Death to America
And he’s really cozy with the mayor of Atlanta pushing cop city
I’m so upset that 1/2 of RTJ is a land lord. I genuinely dig their music and general outline of their message but it sucks so much Killer Mike tries to toe the line be radical and liberal. It really bums me out he’s the exact type of black liberal I am most hate, one with deep knowledge of real black struggle and radical tradition. Like he understands why shit is fucked but then uses that understanding to just keep in line with liberalism.
Also EL-P and Mac Miller (RIP) are the only good white rappers. They aren’t even “white rappers” (which I fear we will see a whole evolution of the white rapper in the come decades) they are rappers who are white.
RTJ3 still my favorite tho.
Me too, Killer Mike is someone that disappoints me so heavily. I really liked him when I was younger, he’s a skilled musician and definitely understands a lot of shit, but every time I agree with him.
Also, second paragraph is Aesop Rock slander but I mostly agree
Edit: this comment was written wrong, I do not agree with Killer Mike. I don’t even remember what I intended to write there, it was in the middle of work I think
Not slander, just forgot. He’s also a in the catagory of “rapper who happens to be white” rather than white rapper too.
“this one goes out to the black community” collects rent

No mumbling? No Vocoder? WHAT? For real, though - thanks for posting!

You don’t have to act like a hateful asshole. You choose to.
You were the one who brought in completely unnecessary hate against a completely different style of music.
You like to make assumptions about others. Good luck with that.

It’s okay, I’ll post plenty of rap with mumbling and vocoder. Young Thug is the guy that inspired me to put a dress on for the first time as a teen
