Just FYI, that capitalism curve should be a lot steeper towards the end and lower most of the way.

It’s logscale. You can tell by the height of oligarchy.

Two edits: the capitalism exponential curve should be much sharper.

And the Trump graph maybe should have an “El Salvador prison” section on the left side.

To scale, the 2nd and 3rd graphs would look identical

It really should use a vertical line from 0 to 5 as a way to represent the welfare cliff, too.

Well, that’s a grim way to look at it what with the oligarch chunk being immutable.

A weirdly marxist grim way to look at it, though, I’ll give it that.

Just because the core of his work is bad science, it doesn’t mean he didn’t get a lot of facts right.

And also, countries have a unsettling tendency of moving a full step in development when its people get mad enough and kill all of the oligarchy. It’s not very clear to me if it’s the only way to do some steps forward, but it also has a good chance of making a worse oligarchy and moving a step backward.

If every company would transition successfully towards a worker cooperative federation like Mondragon in Spain, oligarchs wouldnt exist

(enlighten me and my ignorance please, always eager to get new insight. especially on topics like these, that arent my main focus)

Mondragon was founded by a humanist and ingrained the company with a set of core virtues. I think most companies wouldn’t be able to transition so radically.

I learned about Mondragon from your comment, they seem to do great work! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mondragon_Corporation

If society would see that as the goal of every company and to do so in a way that doesn’t discourage investment I suspect things might be better ovv

Not entirely sure how to interpret OP’s libel of communism, but the scales have been an astronomical cliff by a looong time.

You know what you must do “conservatives.” Time to reclaim your rights to bear arms.

      libel of communism

As a leftist, I mean, they’re not wrong. At least historically.

That doesn’t mean socialist policies aren’t better, it doesn’t mean communism is literally impossible, it just means that our species has a lot of work ahead still. Planting trees we will never sit in the shade of and all that.

As a leftist you should understand that it’s insincere to compare implementations of communism to the core inextricable functions of capitalism. Bad implementations of communism have wealth disparity, all implementations of capitalism have wealth disparity.

Not in Chile. Either way, I can’t interpret OP’s graph, since communism doesn’t have wealth to begin with.

And that idiom needs to die. We are not surviving a sahara, tree exist right now. We just need to guillotine the plutos at the top.

A community to satirize conservtive and right-wing “ideals”.

This community (now) exists as a pressure valve, a place to process through humor the often frustrating world of conservative politics. Above all, this is NOT the place for serious conservative support/viewpoints/arguments. There are other places on Lemmy for that if you desire it.

Rules:

  1. Always follow .world instance rules

  2. Parody With Purpose: This is a space for humorous takes on conservative politics. We welcome satire, but draw the line at content that promotes racism, sexism, homophobia, or other forms of bigotry.

  3. Memes Over Manifestos: This community focuses on humor and parody, not serious political debate. There are plenty of spaces for earnest conservative discussion, this isn’t one of them.

  4. Highlight Contradictions: Sometimes the best content points out inconsistencies and hypocrisies in conservative talking points. Creative commentary is encouraged.

  5. Public Figures Fair Game: Politicians and pundits can be satirized, but no targeting of private individuals, doxxing, or harassment.

Children of public figures under the age of 14 are also off-limits, a 16 year old has enough free agency to break with or adopt their parents views. An 8 year old kid doesn’t.

  1. No News Zone: Memes only, news or other serious content should be sent to the nearest relevant comm. Meme’s of current events, however, are encouraged.

  2. Clear Satire: Make your satirical intent reasonably clear. We’re here to mock bad ideas, not accidentally spread them. If you’re unsure how it will be taken, feel free to DM the mod team ahead of time or explicitly tag it as satire in the body.

A note on ChadMcTruth: Chad’s content is 100% satire, but his work can sometimes be hard to tell, but if he posted it be assured, its satire.

  1. Relevant Content: All posts should relate to conservative politics or ideologies in some way somewhere in your post. Either in the title or the meme itself.

For more general political memes please see !politicalmemes@lemmy.world

  1. Community Respect: Disagree with fellow members all you want, but personal attacks aren’t welcome. Save the criticism for the ideas, not each other.

  2. Moderation Discretion: Mods will use reasonable judgment in applying these rules. We’ll be fair, but firm. These kinds of comms have a tendency to get off the rails, so we might seem overzealous in moderation sometimes.

  3. For the moment, i’m allowing properly tagged NSFW content as long as its funny and relevant. Don’t make me regret it.

And above all, HAVE FUN!
