    A team of 17 rescuers hiked in to assist and ultimately evacuated the injured climber, at an elevation of 10,980 feet and more than eight miles from the nearest trailhead.

    According to an episode of The Wire, this is incorrect usage of “evacuate.” To evacuate a person would be to empty their bowels. I have not made any attempt to check if that’s correct, but it sounded plausible at the time.
