DS9 fumbles a few times like drawing attention to the change in klingon appearance change rather than having Dorn in the classic makeup and having none of the characters comment on it.
Ferengi would’ve been more interesting if they had to stop being goldbugs after encountering the federation and had a bit of societal upheaval that gets you from DaiMon Bok to Quark and making the social reforms implied by the finale part of a longer thing that starts a few years before DS9.
