AI will just add more mountains of garbage to the web, on top of the already existing ones. But users will still find what they’re looking for because they first need to filter out all the slop. It will probably take longer to find the useful stuff, but the useful part of the web will continue to exist as a part of the whole web.

I think identity verification disguised as age verification will destroy the web before AI can achieve that. On top of everything comes extensive geo-blocking too, with the US copying China and Russia (Probably calling it “FreedomWeb” or “TruthWeb”) and Europe following. So no more world wide web, just plenty of smaller local webs.

Only if the companies / people developing it are allowed to continue stealing IP without compensation.
