      If you were 18 and over you simply had to pass the test. Driver’s education is ridiculously expensive ($400+). So, a lot of new drivers choose to wait until they are 18 to save money. Unfortunately, this is just another law to punish poor people. In my opinion, it really isn’t going to make drivers any better. Most of the drivers on the roads know the laws, they just ignore them.

    Skip the mandatory classes, just make the tests harder. They are insanely easy it’s disgusting. Hardly anything I studied for in the book was actually on the test

    Most already did, as Ohio already had a discount on new driver’s insurance that took drivers ed classes. The discount helped absorb the cost of the classes over the first couple years.
