and some of the solutions feel hacky and inconsistent

Yes, it doesn’t affect Ghostty in any way, shape, or form. If you’re not a FOSS fundamentalist you can completely ignore the whole license thing. It’s open source, it’s cool, that’s what matters.

Can it support regular system keyboard mapping? As in
Ctrl+Backspaceto delete a word.Ctrl+Ato select all current input, etc., etc.?
