Absolutely. This (the headline) is still some kind of sanewashing. No, he wasn’t “stumped”. He was being just as mean as he was to that disabled reporter way back when. Making fun of a French lady with a French accent, a hair’s breadth from making it explicitely sexist (and not just implicitly).
And yeah, the “don’t worry” patronizing goes right into that same category, but additionally it’s also megalomaniac and delusional.
