PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Authorities are investigating after a fire broke out in a carport at the home of Portland City Councilor Candace Avalos early Sunday morning.
Fire officials were called to the scene of the fire on Southeast Caruthers Street, near Southeast 122nd Avenue, around 2:40 a.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, they found several cars and a carport on fire, and were able to extinguish the blaze.
Investigators estimated the total damage at $125-150,000, with damage to the exterior siding of the home and “complete destruction” of the carport and two cars.
Another outcome of stochastic terrorist rhetoric, no doubt.

Gotts love the rigour of TV writers! That lower bound of $125 isn’t realistic for two cars being destroyed.
Pretty sure they meant $125k to $150k but they had to save money on four characters.

This was my thinking too. Must have been practically landfill already. It makes you wonder if they’re even full cars.
My guess is they were a couple old lambos but they couldn’t pop the hood to see if anything was actually inside of it.
Maybe they collect already burned antique cars?
How many does this make now? There was that judge who also had her home catch fire right after going against trump. They claim it wasn’t arson, but I wouldn’t put it past em.
