Daughter (18 years old) wants a gaming PC for Christmas. She is mildly autistic and I think more than anything she just wants to be apart of the community more than anything. She doesnt expect some top of the line PC, just something that she can get into a make friends, play games online and not be too limited. She is adamant that she doesn’t want a laptop also.
She has been playing Elder Scrolls for years and years, she loves Minecraft, Roblox, and she always talks about wanting to play RDR2 and sometimes talks about being interested in trying Cyberpunk.
I guess I’m obviously most worried about price. I feel like I can spare around 600 (give or take) for the PC, I know I will need to get the peripherals also, but that part I can manage. I’d like to take advantage of Black Friday sales if possible? Can I expect any sales that will get me in this range? If so, where do you all recommend watching?
I used Newegg to enter some games and see what they recommend, but it was recommending some PCs that had integrated graphics cards and saying they will play Cyberpunk at moderate settings, so I’m not trusting it. I’d rather come to Reddit and ask.
Thank you all in advance.
Unfortunately, you’re not getting a gaming PC at 600. Even something cheap like Alienware is at least 1200. If that’s ypur price point go with Console. Downfall console games cost more than PC. So many more free options.
Now if you want you can go to CLX & do a prebuilt on monthly credit. Don’t do amazon! I recommend this company because they support building PCs for Veterans. I had to get 1, because I’m Disabled & don’t have feeling in my fingertips & struggled with tiny PC parts.
Get a PC case & motorboard that big enough to expand long-term. If you can build it yourself & put it on a credit card, that can be cheaper.
