Same, I mean I’m not really a big fan of the democrats either but damn with the republicans being literally batshit crazy my entire life they really don’t leave us with much choice. Also it pains me how many people continue to vote against their own interests. My father in-law is one of them… he’s disabled and on food stamps but recently was kicked off those because he makes too much… Yet he continues to solidly vote R and eats a steady diet of fox news all day. We’ve tried showing him that maybe that’s not in his best interests but the only thing it does is raise our blood pressure LOL.

All the republican screeching about work requirements is so old. I can’t believe anyone listens to it. It’s definitely not our bloated military causing the problem.

It really is, though I’m convinced their entire platform is a broken record they just may throw in some new buzz words every now and again to rile up the crazies… see woke. Sadly though a lot of people still eat that BS up so I’m not surprised they keep beating that dead horse.

I believe the student loan forgiveness is on hold while the supreme court reviews some challenges to it… However, in the debt limit bill i believe one of the concessions Biden allowed was that he would not continue the payment pause on those loans. So once this current pause expires, payments will resume. Heres hoping the supreme court doesn’t rule against Biden on the forgiveness but I’m not going to hold my breath.

If memory serves, what ended up happening is the senate passed a version of the bill that had a clause nuking that in it, but that went nowhere, and it got passed without it a bit later leading to this
