In a recent video about tech gadgets, LTT promoted a product called NanoKVM.
It’s a very cool piece of tech that comes with very serious security concerns. Especially for what it does.
Multiple security researchers have noticed glaring issues with the security of the device. Although some of them have been resolved, given the nature of the device, a single issue should raise concerns.
Probably the worst ones are:
-
default SSH password with SSH access enabled by default,
-
hidden, undocumented microphone.
SSH access has since been fixed, but arguably it should have not ever been released with this sort of glaring flaw.
