These are some of the UwU-ified versions of Linux (and other) distribution icons.
How can I upgrade my Manjaro to a Nyanjaro?
I think custom icon-packs and wallpapers do a lot of work. Maybe this might also help.
ah yes, the uh… sneezing gnu
Ahegnu
Feduwu, gnuwu, manjuwu
Andowoid
@green_copper if you find more stuff like this be sure to share it especially if its for Linux mint
@green_copper any place to download these as separate icons?/I want that Linux mint logo
Update: seems to be a problem with Mastodon and how they handle the display of thread-like posts.
@green_copper no worries, thanks for providing the link to them, I’ve never seen these before but I love when people make cool stuff to customize my Linux UI, thanks again for sharing and be sure to share more cool stuff like this that I might not know about if its stuff you can tailor Linux with to make it more anime like
Maybe this cursor might also be of interest for you.
Did you hear of Nyarch?
@green_copper I love how in the FAQ they have a nod to Linus Torvalds NVidia flip off moment :guilded_lul:
Also the
Why? Yes.
is the best possible answer.
@green_copper also a classic Linux moment for the history books but I’m happy to see things have gotten better for NVidia support on Linux in years since https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OF%5C_5EKNX0Eg
@green_copper no I have not but I have heard of this one called UwUntu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6a8YZtZH-8
For some reason mastodon doesn’t show the body of my post…
Here is the source.
@green_copper thank you so much! I’m gonna add that to the start menu icon for my Linux mint that I already have themed to be Japanese
My pleasure. I honestly like the idea; maybe I will update the startmenu icon of my KDE Fedora installation :D
@green_copper and done! it looks great on the start menu and goes great with the winodws xp theme i have and thanks again for sharing!
Great ^^
@green_copper yep that it does! i need to find more stuff like this
@green_copper go for it! Thats one of the many things I like about Linux is they have UI and UX customization right out of the box when windows and everything else seems to have abandoned the options to customize the look and feel of your desktop UI and UX natively when there was a time in the 2000s when that was common and there were themes for windows xp and what not to where it seems there was more of that back then compared to now. I’m glad Linux is keeping that stuff alive
I totally agree. The Linux ecosystem gives you all the options; that’s why I also love KDE Plasma.
Below is my decorated desktop. The chibis at the corners even are animated ^^ (and the background switches between several Weeb and Furry images of course)
@green_copper that looks awesome! Are those custom furry icons on the desktop or are those part of the background image?
Neither. These are widgets from Plasmataker, which brings the girls from Helltaker onto my desktop ^^

Huh, it seems Mastodon also doesn’t like text in replies with an image. See my original text below.

@green_copper I saw thats awesome! Also your on fedora, nice! I personally like Linux mint and I’m too comfy there to switch to another one, I did try fedora KDE sometime back but it was too different from mint for me to where I just went back to mint. As a wise man once said if its not broken dont fix it
