Good thing there’s a huge, powerful current that carries that heat away and also stops Europe from being frigidly cold while it’s at it.
…oh wait.
The Gulf of whatnow?
I’m not familiar with this
I think you’re getting downvoted because people don’t recognise sarcasm. They think you’re really thinking it should be called “Gulf of America” meanwhile you’re pointing at the silly fact that a narcissistic pedophile changed the name.
plus one on this. Sarcasm or irony doesnt seem to play well with most who are here
The peak of my life was when someone said at a party “I hate people who don’t understand sarcasm” and I replied “I don’t understand sarcasm”. They took me seriously. Guess they hate themselves. My life has been a series of disappointments since then. It was 2002.
I recognized the sarcasm but don’t like Trumpisms living rent free in our spaces like that. This article talks about a phenomenon that will upend the lives of millions of people, if your reaction is sarcastically quoting Trump then he is winning the propaganda war in your mind.
At least it will mostly kill people who wanted this silver linings but I liked the gulf of mexico a lot I miss it
Thank God I’m not part of “mostly!” Wait…
Its fine you’re special hurricanes will make an exception for you
“I don’t need to evacuate. @youcantreadthis@quokk.au says I’m special!”
Yep! Also special low insurance!
Okay so now when it has problems it’s the gulf of Mexico again???
Is it that startling. Surrounded by massive amount of land that keeps the mixing lessened and only from one direction. Then of course there is all the abandoned wells leaking crap.
The lessening of economic activity might mean less cargo ships again, less sulphuric oxide on these shipping routes - and less albedo around these waters.
This is discussed as a reason for the rapid acceleration of warming and extreme weather in the Mediterranean sea.
