YouTube is making AI-generated content labels more prominent, and it’s going to start automatically applying the labels if it detects that a video includes ‘significant photorealistic AI use.’
Will this include YouTubers who use Youtube’s own thumbnail generator and other AI “tools?”
It will probably just define ‘significant’ as ‘using tools other than Gemini’
Except Gemini, right?
YouTube has been almost ruined by AI. Even the ads are a fucking AI slop joke and they fire so regularly now that it’s impossible to watch anything without getting the urge to rage quit.
Ads on YouTube? Haven’t seen one in years thanks to
- Firefox + uBlock Origin on desktop
- YouTube Revanced on Android
- SmartTube on AndroidTV
Yeah, everyone knows, bud.
It just sounded like you didn’t, on account of everything written in your comment.
Complains about the effects of raw-doggin’ the Internet, then says they’re aware of protection.
…k, bud.
Why are you watching Youtube ads then?
Many of those blockers are unreliable or cause issues with YouTube. YouTube banned my IP last month and I had to get it rotated.
Also, those blockers don’t work on all devices.
I have not had any issues with ublock for a long time, other than a few sec loading delay at the start. In any case one could turn off the blocker anytime, with a single click. None of that is more of a hassle than even watching a single youtube video with ads. That is absolutely unbearable. On Iphone you can simply usd Brave, does the job out of the box. On Android and PC ublock.
Of all the attitudes you could choose to have, this was your choice eh?
labels are a good start, but i want filters.
All of YouTube shorts…
spotify needs to add a tag for the insane amount of ai music getting rammed down everyones throat
