PHP with a good Framework, heck yeah. Old-School PHP, oh god no!
Symfony is bliss and it keeps getting better
I’ve used Symfony to build REST APIs, CLI tools, admin panels (EasyAdmin)… It’s truly a great framework.
I didn’t know kbin is in PHP and, now that I know, I love it even more.
It’s the biggest reason I’m using Lemmy over kbin.
My exact reaction when looking into kbin source.
But modern PHP is beautiful though!

It was 2013 and php was not nice and sexy and anything I wanted to do with my .net and Java background. But it was a new job and it seemed every new employee had to suffer for at least one project.
