It’s kinda weird to frame this as a “major setback”. They didn’t just find 100,000 unfit soldiers on Tuesday, this is cumulative over what sounds like at least a year. It’s a problem for Russia’s military, yes, but it doesn’t change anything right now.
And also it’s Russia, and Putin’s Russia at that. Does this mean he’s not just gonna put them on the frontlines anyway, or some backline infantry units. Unfit doesn’t mean you can’t just give them a gun and tell them where to shoot.
They’ll be found fit to serve as something, possibly projectiles.
Lucky break for those guys. Unless Vlad has them shot out of spite.
