I got a pretty decent one for my 14 the day I got it, I honestly forget that I have it until I look at it from the side

Honestly don’t know how anyone would feel comfortable putting a thousand+ dollar iPhone in their back pocket…I treat mine like a newborn.

I prefer a spigen screen protector my iphone 12 (3 years old ) has zero scratches, plus a gold quality screen protector if not betters the screen’s feel, atleast keeps it good.

I rawrogged my s20 and the oleophobic coating wore off in the middle after 6 months, which felt terrible. always use screen protectors so when the coating wears off you can swap a new one :)

I didn’t use to put screen protectors on my phones. I just put one on my new 15 pro max (the spigen one) specifically for this purpose. Don’t even care about scratches and stuff but the oleophobic coating wearing off is so annoying.

Man from installation to durability and feel this must be my favourite phone accessory ever.

Every time I see a friend with a shitty screen protector I’m like “I gotchu” and I order them one and install it.

They are all amazed by the quality and you only need what? Two screen protectots a year ? Worth the money IMHO.

No, they break easily. The applicator is nice but they aren’t durable at all. The one I have on now has a big crack in it from falling off my lap into grass. Maybe a 2 ft drop with a case on

Gold being a “standard” as in high quality, go with spigen ez it’s pretty good, end to end, smooth, 9h hardness, oiliophobic coating, doesn’t fuck up the colors on screen, costs about 2000 rupees here in india, maybe like 25 dollars in the US, idk, not to mention the pack has 2 of them, so you can either keep one for later of split with a friend.

Glad to see someone else say this. Most people seem to say screen protectors make the screen less sensitive, but I’ve found the Spigen one increases sensitivity somehow.

You gotta try the new ones that are a film. I used to use the glass ones like spigen… then I discovered the film ones on Temu. It’s called like polyphobic or something. You clean your screen, use the sticker, line it up and you peel the bottom half then the top then the bottom AGAIN and it’s goes on like magic. No bubbles and they work great. I had my one on my 14pm for like 5 months. When I traded it in it was like brand new. It’s almost like it feels better on your fingers too. Easier to type

You should give a tempered glass protector like the Spigen one a try. I was in the same boat as you until I put one on my 14 PM a week ago. I literally cannot notice it unless I take my case off and look for the edges of the protector.

I always buy the absolute cheapest glass protectors now because I bought a $60 one from the Apple Store and it cracked the same way and around the same time a $2 protector would.

I hate using screen protector. I’ve never broken a screen. I don’t like the added bulk, and I absolutely notice the diminished touch capacity with a screen protector. Good on you for using the device and enjoying it.

Same. Hate screen protectors and hate cases. Used a case once on an iPhone 4 a long time ago, threw it out pretty much immediately. Same for screen protectors.

I’m buying a premium device, I don’t want it to feel cheap and plastic because of added crap. Just be careful and your device will last.

I’ve touched wood before this statement but I’ve dropped my 8+ once or twice and it’s still going strong. It does now have a small crack and some dents on the bodywork, but it’s a 5+ year old phone, I’d be crazy to not expect that at this point.

I’m not one for reselling my devices either, I’m planning on getting the 15PM and will likely to caseless, phones just feel so much nicer without attachments that stop you seeing what you’ve bought

I’d like to not buy a premium device twice lol.

If $15 worth of plastic can solve that problem on a $1500 device, I’m all in.

Buy it twice lol. You’re worried about your phone getting completely destroyed from a drop? A new screen/backplate is $30. Your case and screen protector cost more than that.

That’s true, But u gotta remember there are other materials like leather, which make a great premium case. It’s literally skin on skin contact and it doesn’t make the iPhone feel any less premium imo. Metal buttons too so you don’t even miss out on that. I can’t stand plastic cases either bro. But I still gotta stay protected out here

While leather looks and feels a lot better, I still don’t like that it feels bulky. It’s just the general feel that I strongly dislike.

Yes I absolutely notice, 100% of the time with absolute certainty. It diminish the responsiveness of the touchscreen. Those who aren’t power users and may seldom use their iPhone, may not notice.

I’ve never broken a screen in 15 years of iPhone owning as I’ve always had a case on. 3 weeks of owning the 15pm without a case it slipped right out my hand onto the road. Fucker is so nice and smooth it slipped right out.

I got the iPhone 12 Pro Max, also without case or protector, and similar good condition. If you take care of your products, you don’t need any protectors.
