First one didn’t really appeal to me too much, but this update with “missions” and different things to do looks like I might have to grab it!

I’m pretty upset that this isn’t just an update, but a new game. with all the DLC and mods in the old one and this game taking up over 500GB of storage. installing both is gonna be a real pain.

A bit weird since they said they’ll be supporting the current iteration till 2030.

Just because they are releasing this one doesn’t mean that 2020 will stop being supported. Have they said anything about ending support for it?

Not a fan of this decision. Considering they said in MSFS2020 that they planned to support the game for a decade, it seems very premature to release a new game like this, especially since it seems like very little has changed in the engine to warrant an upgrade to a new product.

I’m assuming this is going the Train Sim World route where everything gets brought forward into the next version, but there are exclusive features locked to 2024. Not a big deal if there will be a substantial discount for previous owners, but I think we all know what Asobo is going to decide.

I don’t think Asobo controls the decision here, but rather Microsoft. The same company that looked at free services provided by Google and Facebook and said “Hey, we can do data collection too!”. Now, Microsoft is the main company that makes you pay for them to steal your personal data so they can fatten their profits.

I’m so excited for this! Doing SAR is going to be a blast. I hope they add some kind of career mode like OnAir

I know it is unrelated, but when I saw that ship in the scene with the oil rig, I suddenly wanted a new ship simulation game.

This does look fun, I would like to try fighting fires.

I only played the first during my trial of gamepass. I enjoyed it, but it hasn’t gotten a sale that made me jump on it.

I love that they actually focused on things to do rather than just flying around realistically. Missions like firefighting, search and rescue, construction and more adds much needed gamification to flight sim!
