    As someone who has used those multiple times : the heavier the window, the more the power feeling becomes fear

      When it unhinges weirdly and it’s kind of hanging from only one corner? Man, I had a heart attack.

      I do love these, though.

    • Sliding windows are pretty easy to break into in comparision.

      Just crowbaring it open, or when you forgot to lock it, when it was closed. With these windows you would see the window being wide open.

        • That is true. It makes a distinctive noise though. For burglars being quiet allows much more time to look around for valueables, so smashing in glasses is not their first choice.

      After having these windows forever, I can agree that I would prefer sliding in some cases. I think a tilting window that can also slide sideways would be endgame.

        I had a house that had these. The garden door was tilting and sliding, but not swinging. I would have liked all to be rhis way . Swinging steals the space of the swing.

    I feel like there’s a pretty good historical precedent for another contender
