I’ve currently got an M1 Air (x2 8 cores and 16GB RAM) and it’s been absolute champ, and has been more than powerful enough for my needs in web and iOS development. Quite possibly the best value Mac I’ve ever owned.
I would love for them to introduce a smaller MacBook Air (i.e. no compromise on performance), similar in size to the MacBook. The screen might be a tad small to use every day but the portability of it would be awesome (not that the current Air is bad by any stretch!) and, certainly in my case, I have it hooked up to a monitor most times.
