Yep. Operations enables Design and Software to do its best work. It is absolutely core to the success of Apple, going back to when Cook was hired in 1998.

ProRes Log Video is how this is possible, for everyone claiming they didn’t actually do this.

They should have introduced an M2 iMac to at least push prices down.

It might be because of the breadth of updates. I feel like it’s likely we’ll see M3 and M3 Pro at the same event, as well as an M2 and M3 iMac to allow them to push iMac price points down for education.

Announcing this without any new features or even any significant new “content” is a stupid marketing move. It wouldn’t take much for Apple to demo these services and “something new” at a fall Apple Event, and they could avoid a lot of this handwringing about the prices going up.
