What other entity in Europe could collectively decide to approve something? I mean, it’s not 100% ambiguous, but I think it’s pretty safe guess.

So if there were two vessels and someone said “Look at that big boat”, you’d assume they meant the smaller one because the other was a ship?
Likewise, if someone said “America has a gun problem”, you’re going to assume they mean every single country in both north and south America as a collective?
Seriously?

Generally yes, but there are exceptions. Health, national security…

This guy is petty spot on too. https://youtu.be/eRwzqlpdyjg

A report on it from Australia news. https://youtu.be/u4Kx2USLZGo

When you’re near the coast and someone points and says “Hey, look at that big boat”, do you also feel the need to point out that the vessel in question is actually a ship since it’s gross tonnage is actually above 500?
Sure, words have meanings, but you can also be a little lenient in everyday conversation. You get what they’re saying, don’t you?

Technically correct, but in everyday conversation most people will get what you mean anyway I think.

Even parts is kind of a problem though. I had an expensive appliance break and the service guys told me that the part I needed wasn’t available anymore.
So forcing companies to keep spare parts a number of years after the product goes out of service should be law. Cheap things 1-3 years, expensive things 15-20 years. Or force them to open source the full specs so that 3rd parties can make the part.

No idea why you need your parents details on YOUR id-card.

Yeah, I don’t edit the headline. It comes right from the source, so if it’s different then they changed it.

I thought tories wanted the navy to shoot at foreigners in small boats?

Very weird, what’s the point with EU standards if you can just choose to ignore them?

Then we hope for a speedy arrest and a lengthy prison sentence including de-radicalization therapy.

Seems they’ve released a name but not caught him yet.
Abdul B, a well known Islamist apparently.

Yeah, whenever there’s a practical choice, I’m picking non-American. I’m also bringing up relying on US tech at work, but moving people away from AWS/Azure/GCP is a Herculian task.

Agreed, a fairly balanced video imho. Could have done a bit better, but all in all not bad.

It might not be, or it might, but I somehow don’t believe that the far-right who proposed this had the well-being of women and girls in mind.
To be fair, the EU doesn’t include all countries in Europe. But honestly, if you hear that “Europe” does something, do you really think that this doesn’t mean the EU?
If someone referenced “America” to me, I’d assume they meant the US and not go “Well, akchually…”
