I think the GitS from the 90s looks like anime from the 90s. I just watch the first 2 episodes, and I have to say I’m not into the style. The animation looks a bit cheap, and the vibe is a bit too hyperactive.

I hope one day we can get an original sequel in a more serious tone like the first anime movie.

I’ve seen a colleague write an API interface for support technicians with AI. As he adds to it or makes changes, the AI breaks something somewhere else. When you ask how to do something he struggles to find where it is on the interface. He says it should be in the documentation, but he doesn’t know where because he vibe coded the documentation as well. Then when he needs to just incorporate extra devices with the same API it becomes a gauntlet because he’s not sure what the AI did for the first set and the new set only gets half the functionality. On top of that, we are running days behind schedule because we spend so much time on debugging it.

If this was done properly from the ground up it would be less messy, have more intent, and it could be a framework for other projects.

If I remember correctly, it was advertised as a third person game where you could use your claws to scale walls. When it came out it was a first person shooter with no walk climbing mechanics at all.

I liked the first shadow of … game better but the general consensus is that the second game is better. If you like LOTR even slightly and also enjoy Batman Arkham style combat I think you’ll enjoy them.

I do think it’s weird that Plex decided to put hardware transcoding behind a paid membership, so that’s obviously a negative, but it sounds like the argument for jellyfin is that it’s free but you get less. That’s ok, I’m not dragging jellyfin through the mud on this, but you have to admit many people think their Plex purchase is worth it compared to jellyfin.

What is the argument for jellyfin? It’s basically the exact same thing without the relay servers or no-setup remote streaming and sharing.

It’s even deeper than that. They will have names and personalities. If you defeat one by cutting off its arm, it will reappear later with a prosthetic arm and maybe even some dialogue about your last encounter. They keep all the scars from your battles.
