Netflux can go fuck in general, but foreign companies not wanting to be forced to subsidize your TV shows isn’t quite Native boarding schools level of attempt at cultural erasure. Get off the cross, we need the wood.
I highly highly doubt streaming companies no longer bumping Letterkenny and Vikings to the top 5 is what torpedoed the trade deal, but politicians clutching pearls, banging the nationalism drum, and crying attack on National Identity plays better than a dry “we couldn’t get the percentages right on potash, lumber, and soybeans”.
