Reminds me of the WLER railway line, and I like trains, so that makes it a great name.
(Turns out that “it reminds me of” is not a great way to evaluate a name)
Also tbh, if it does the same things as before, they could call it POOP, and I’d still use it. The name has no bearing on how it functions.
That sounds like an argument against the name change…
Here ya go. Not so much funny as sad.

Same. I’d be a lot happier if they had said “sorry, we didn’t know, we’re pulling our sponsorship/attendance for projects where DHH is involved.”

Not clear. They still list Hyprland on their most recent donation blog update (with an annual sum rather than monthly) and they still have Rails World listed as well.
None of that is something that I would call “doubling down”, which to me means escalation of their actions. I feel like they kinda put their heads down and ignored the problem mostly.
But in any case I don’t know if that means they’re still paying him today or whether that’s carryover from previous payments or a contract they didn’t want to break for whatever reason.
It’s also not clear to me whether “Rails World” is a one-man show or whether DHH just happens to be the founder. Is the money funneled right to him, does he benefit financially? I have no idea.
Dang, beat me to it!

How did they “double down”?
They didn’t denounce him or anything, and they gave a weak defense of “eh we sponsor all sorts of things”. But they don’t seem to have done anything to increase or strongly defend their (very indirect) support of DHH.
Yes, I have literally stolen the word “beaucoup” from you. ;-)
It’s a loanword.

Ever on, indeed.
How old does a word have to be to satisfy you?
“Beaucoup” is like 800 years old. Shitty spelling isn’t a neologism.

They’re all wasted, does it matter if it’s “fluff” or not?

Walks? This is more like a speedrun.
… now I’m even more confused.
They simulated the burning of a cow? And this simulation is in some way religious?

Saving a click: the people who built them died off and were replaced by another group who didn’t build them.
We don’t know why but maybe plague or invasion.
I like the way you write, FWIW.
That first one sounds like every racing game ever, so I’ll guess a good one: Rallyman GT?
