AP - Trump offers no details on Thursday night address. When asked in an interview with Hugh Hewitt what his Thursday address will be about, Trump made it sound like nothing out of the ordinary.
“It’s just going to be a speech like a lot of my speeches,” he said, without offering any more detail.
CBS News - Oil prices shoot up 9% as U.S.-Iran hostilities heat up. Oil futures spiked Monday following multiple rounds of strikes between the U.S. and Iran, ending a brief stint earlier this month when oil prices returned to near prewar levels. The international Brent Crude benchmark was trading at just over $83 per barrel for September deliveries as of 5 p.m. ET, and the U.S.-based West Texas Intermediate benchmark traded at $78 per barrel for August deliveries.
Both benchmarks fell to around $70 in early August, after peaking at more than $110 in late March and early April.

CNN - Explosions heard in southern Iran as US launches more strikes. Three explosions were heard in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, Iran’s state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported early Tuesday local time. IRNA did not give further details, but the report came as the United States launched a new round of strikes against Iran, according to US Central Command.

There could be different tiers of passage. Regular Passage - you get the minimum. Just the minimum. Nothing more. So maybe pay more? Paying more is good. Premium Passage. Premium is better because it’s higher than Regular but still not as good as it could be. There is better. GOLD Passage. Best level of protect. TOP CLASS protect. And you want best protect for your tanker. Tankers are big (very big!) and you don’t want something to happen to your tanker and its precious cargo. If it gets hit - you lose a lotta money. And you get what you pay for. So get GOLD. GOLD best.

CBS News - Iranian media report blasts near Strait of Hormuz. Explosions of unknown origin were heard in southern Iran near the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, a news agency reported, following an exchange of attacks between Tehran and Washington. “Media and residents reported having heard on Monday at midday explosions near Bandar Abbas and the island of Qeshm,” the semi-official Mehr news agency said, adding that the blasts “appear to be coming from the West Coast of Bandar Abbas.”

If you lack resources and/or money - you have to think creatively. The opposite case makes me think of the US military. Beyond the endless corruption - they have astronomical resources and insane amounts of money so they don’t think very much.

CBS News - U.S. official says no major damage to base in Jordan. A U.S. official disputed earlier claims by Iranian officials that U.S. military bases in Jordan had been hit. In a statement to CBS News, a U.S. officials said there were no injuries to American forces and that the “the overwhelming majority of Iranian missiles and drones launched were intercepted or shot down.” The official also added there were no reports of major damage to U.S. locations.
Earlier, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps had said its attacks had demolished “the base’s command and control center and the MQ9 drone hangars” on the Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan.

CNN - Explosions reported further inland in Iran. Explosions rocked several areas in the south of Iran, including in Kerman, a city about 300 miles from the coast, the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported early Sunday local time. Explosions reported on Sunday were mainly along Iran’s southern coast, near the Strait of Hormuz. Blasts were also reported in Chabahar, according to the IRGC. The coastal city is near Iran’s border with Pakistan.
