it helps if you have a lot of free time but tbh my approach to paradox games in general has been to just play it and if things go bad Try to Figure Out Why and learn from there. Sometimes I can’t do that though. Like sometimes in Vic3 my income will just tank out of nowhere and I just cannot figure out why and it’s like haha I guess I’ll start over. I think sometimes it’s from switching my tax laws too soon and not having the base to support it but idk, sometimes I think I reload my save and stuff re calculates and I suddenly make Less Money than I was the night before

also like personally I’m ignoring entire new game mechanics right now, like they added something called subventions in addition to tariffs, which seem to be like, anti tariffs? you pay to import more stuff? and I have essentially not interacted with that mechanic at all. I hate the trope of protagonists withholding world changing knowledge from literally everyone in their lives. Like Im watching this The New Saga slop anime where the protagonist, KYLE, has been apparently sent back in time to before almost everyone he loved died. And then he doesn’t say shit about it to anyone? Including some elf who he was bangin’ and, consequently knew the true name of, like he blurts it out on seeing her which already reveals he has incredibly secret knowledge that he shouldn’t have and instead of like, dumping his nuts on the table and telling everyone all this shit that’s happened to him, he just like, tries to play it off

this shit always frustrates me like ughhh just tell them you’re from the future or whatever, it’s not like he can’t fucking prove it

you’d think so and I would have agreed once upon a time, but have you tried it? It’s really good. And the recipes I linked will make like a dozen servings from a pound of pasta. And it’s eaten cold like potato salad so when you want to slam into those leftovers you don’t even have to heat that shit up

I do recommend adding some chopped bacon or diced cooked ham or if you’re vegan they make tofu flavored like bacon and I haven’t tried it but I’m thinkin itd be SUPER DANK

It is really good honestly. Ive been combining these two chef john recipes, one for a “hawaiian” pasta salad and another with dijon (and more veg) and it’s great
