There’s a certain brand of cinnamon chewing gum they stopped selling where I live. Now the only ones around (and they’re just online) are those little squarey ones, not the better, flat rectangle types
Ah, that explains why they have that look. It’s always interesting to see how people manage to turn a thing (fedora) into something new by just modifying it slighty. You don’t see hats around as much nowadays anymore too, crazy to think of how common they were before cars took over.
It’s like the social media version of seeing a distant relative and them going “You’ve grown so big since I’ve last seen you!” idk
They certainly did have pant-like split skirts for cycling in the late 19th century and regular pants for sports in the 1920s but it became more casual for women later on, not sure about before those time periods tho

It was?? Where’d it even spawn from? It seems that childrens’ fashion usually reflects grown-ups’ fashion but with less uniformity, are the crowns perhaps inspired by some kind of entertainment figure?
