  • My observations:

Existing companies do tend to (but not always) stick with their legacy stack. It makes sense, it’s the safe option.

Start ups OTOH, have the freedom to choose a new and innovative stack and often do. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. The ones that survive and thrive will likely be dated in another decade and be seen as the old guard with legacy stacks.

    It’s the circle of life.

Thank you so much for sharing.

That is a really good point. Is it really worth getting pcvr to work if the performance is bad? Maybe it’s worth waiting until it has better support (or until someone smarter than me gets fed up and just builds something & puts it on Git!).

  • It appears to be due to warm ocean temperatures and the negative southern annular mode. Polar vortex is contracted, which means we aren’t getting hit by the big cold fronts we usually get. There’s a big fuck off high pressure system that’s blocking all of it. Often that high pressure system sits with its right edge on our coast and we get cool southerlies, not this month however, it’s extending right over the Tasman Ocean :(

  • The original reference (which triggered the OP to post) is a cis man saying he wouldn’t sleep with a pre op trans woman.

He said something along the lines that girldick is disgusting, I’m saying it’s hot.

If that’s problematic I can delete (not sure how that works on lemmy though). I would rather hear it from a trans woman though. If you want to discuss, go for it.
