Britain is projected to be the fattest country in Europe. So don’t think all those chippies and pub food aren’t taking a toll.

It has nothing to do with the possibility of someone nearby enjoying your podcast, tiktok, loud speaker phone convo, etc. It’s because you’re a lazy, inconsiderate ass that couldn’t be bothered to use some kind of headphone. That’s all. Doesn’t matter why, forgot them, lost them, whatever, but nonetheless it’s more convenient ro ignore the public setting and blast away.
“Confirmed Bachelor”
“Longtime Roommates”
And they get mad when you tell them humans are, too.

13 years after the Foster suicide.
Far more likely someone shit-talking and on the Hilary bashing train than fact.

Throw poorly equipped bodies at a warfront and call it strategy?

Let one Nazi stay in a bar and the bar is now a Nazi bar.

Wonder what he got as a kickback. He does a lot of surrendering these days.
How old is this? Gotta be at least boomer humor, but I’ve seen this since I was a kid.

It seems it’s on par with a lot of the EU, and exceeds other countries in some areas. It does have a shortage of some undergrad degrees, and without a degree, unemployment is higher. Having been to Greece several times in a major city, English is spotty. Younger people are far more likely to speak/understand it. I would expect in more rural areas the English is even harder to find. One thing I did note (anecdotally) while there was the number of very educated people doing “unskilled” work like driving cabs because the economy still sucks. I ran into a college professor driving an Uber because the pay for teachers was so poor.
None of this is an indictment of the education system, and data would seem to indicate Greece is doing OK as far as that goes. At least for those that stay in school.

Ehh that’s dramatic. There are plenty of (not great tasting) fakes. We can easily synthesize caffeine, and alcohol can come from fermenting plenty of fruits and other things. There’s also teas of numerous varieties. So we’ll be just as caffeinated and drunk complaining about how bad the shitty fake Hershey’s chocolate tastes.
All that aside, there are a lot of crops which are essentially monocultures that are in danger from things like disease and climate change. Bananas, coffee, cacao, even oranges.

Can you watch ultra-violent movies with profanity and scantily clad men and women?
People are weird.
Mid proficiency - the countries wanting to learn anything but Russian. Top proficiency - the countries with excellent education systems.

Ah, making other countries pay welfare for our people while our king builds a ballroom.

A billion? With what money? A quick search says he’s only worth 1/3 of that. If he’s shorting it he’s gonna be toast.
I have no idea how you got any of that from what I said.
Where did I say anyone is making a million a year? What does a million a year have to do with a lifetime of saving, ROI, and compound interest for a normal person? If you’re making a mil a year retirement shouldn’t be a problem. Or are you just saying people should take up knitting in your version of retirement and constantly worry about money or a surprise expenditure?
Does the store not have an “in-app fees” subtext on the app page?
