I have a limit I can tolerate, one emoji every other sentence.

I don’t use them in emails myself, but react emojis to internal work messages are fairly commonplace. A 👍 next to a message is often just a good way to know someone has confirmed reading something rather than needing to write “okay” which is ambiguous (what are you saying okay to?) and takes up space.

But I use a different range of emojis with different people when I do use them, to taste. With colleagues it’s one of 😁😆😅😕😯❤️👍👆, with friends it’s probably one of 🤣🤩😍🤔💀🧐😭🤯🥴😔😏😗💨 or 👀.

However this unidentified new account acting as a rumour mill is suspicious. I don’t doubt feddit is removing posts liberally that could get investigated under German law whether those posts may or may not be breaking it, if the first half of the post was the drama I’d be okay with it. However, trying to tie a bunch of other speculation to the drama makes this post weird imo.

It’s been about 3/4 of a year since I have stopped hearing excuses about how the life-supporting infrastructure, facilities and children Israel is attacking is somehow Hamas.

Now in the last couple months, Israel seems to have dropped most pretenses and are clearly stating plans to annex Gaza and kill its former inhabitants en masse. Ceasefires have been proposed, agreed to mutually then broken by Israel. Those facts have finally percolated to our institutions which is why I think you are seeing more negative action.

The excuse is that they rotate products to what’s on sale but not the buy local sign. And on an offhand note I also notice there are a lot of deals on American products since demand is plummeting and retailers are a bit desparate to clear their shelves of them.

But still, that is misleading marketing to put the buy local symbol next to a product that is not local. Each province has a consumer protection office, probably take it up with them.

May is really getting into peak travel season so if this continues it will really show in the year over year numbers.
