Yeah, I would usually use a comma there but I was trying to illustrate; it’s a lot easier to tell when a semi-colon feels right than to contrive a sentence to deliberate it.
To add a related clause; especially when it’s not a complete sentence on its own.
She then microwaved it until the cheese melted. Then she… Squirted ketchup on it.
Even if you accept this absolutely unhinged behavior, why not squirt the ketchup on before the cheese?
I actually made this work in a recent cheesy short campaign. My character was an intelligent monkey, although he was still an animal and couldn’t speak. After meeting the party, he decided to go do his own thing, which just so happened to be the same thing as the rest of the party.
It worked out really well. The rest of the party could navigate social challenges without having to explain the monkey, I could sneak around and grab MacGuffins without having to accommodate huge humans who were terrible at climbing.
I doubt it works well for longer or more serious games, but it matched the hectic nature of the campaign and led to some hilarious moments.
I’m surprised this is so low. The moral obviously implies this interviewer behavior is wrong.
A vanilla soy latte is really just a 3 bean soup.
I have the Pixel Fold, I am a fan. If you read a lot of documents and watch a lot of videos, it’s a game changer.
Your life up until now is meaningless. You can be born again.
It moved us right slower than if Republicans had been in charge the whole time. Americans don’t have the class consciousness to spontaneously vote left. Leftist third parties hold very few offices at all, and zero major ones.
Without a shift in cultural hegemony, and a flood of leftists in local offices to make good candidates for higher office, third party votes are a waste. They’re not electorally successful, they’re not even good marketing.
Voting blue slows the rightward slide. It can’t save us, it’s not supposed to save us. It’s supposed to give us enough time to save ourselves, to do the ground work to shift the culture to embrace the left when a party is ready. The culture has not shifted, the party is not ready. The least we can do is strategically keep out the politicians who most fervently legislate against worker rights.
Gotta get rid of one of the current two first. Here’s my suggested strategy:
Vote blue no matter who while they slide right. All the leftists hold their nose for the cause.
Send the MAGA party the way of the Whigs, absolute Democrat domination until the fiscal conservatives join them, and the fascists and libertarians make their own third parties.
Push a new party, leftist policy with blue collar vocabulary. Proper terminology is poisoned by propaganda, “hard working Americans”, not “proletariat”. You wanna distance yourself from those snobby college libruls.
Lefties jump ship, scoop the progressives on the way out. Bam, new second party.
There’s no movement without class consciousness. Grassroots doesn’t work without, well, grassroots
How would you define dialectics?
Fiduciary duty to shareholders. Line must go up, as much as possible, as fast as possible.
Um ackchyually it’s the Marines and National Guard.
There is the theory that dreams are simulations to prepare you for stressful situations. Being exposed to rejection in simulation helps to not react… poorly irl.
Looks like the cover for an album called “Experimentation” by a band called “Synaptic Response”
Make sure you’re distinguishing between a circle and a disc.
Hmmm, maybe we can taunt Trump into repealing Citizens United
Isn’t his hair supposed to be red?
