Yes. I do so when it’s within my means. And I wish them well because it’s not easy being considered an unperson on top of whatever circumstances brought them in that position in the first place.

I’m relatively new here, so with that context in mind… I’m glad I was able to find out this place exists after it disappearing on but even so, opening to federation like this should not come at the cost of our trans comrades and comrades of color. I’m all for defeding from all but grad (and maybe lemmy.ml), as well as keeping applications in place for the foreseeable future. People are well aware of this place by now; Those that want to participate will find a way, or lurk as they learn.

Oh I am HERE for this analysis. You bring up a lot of great points, especially some beats of the storyline of Arceus being iffy at best. And I agree, Melli did nothing wrong! Sinnoh isn’t my favorite area but I had fun exploring regardless. I think I just vibed with the pokedex being more akin to trying to research them… that said, they could’ve made it less grindy. I also liked walking up and seeing how pokemon would react alone/in groups/toward me. That last bit exists in SwSh and SV to some extent too.

Let’s go is comfy and nostalgic but with a lot of the quality of life implementations of the recent games, plus the style is cute. I think for someone new to Pokemon it’s a great one to suggest imo, since as you said it’s simpler but still close enough what the core games are like.

I’m glad we could talk about this, Pokemon is a long special interest of mine. 😊

Actually curious as to what you like about it better? Both are relatively unconventional, Legends just gripped me more with how the overworld and catching mechanics played out ig? Legit always got super excited when the shiny sound effect played nearby. I did find the “take your pokemon with you in a ball that also acts as a controller” of Let’s Go a cute throwback to like, the Pokewalker and Pocket Pikachu. I picked Eevee ver. cause of course I did.

From what I remember, it goes like this: Shark is cuddly, you can use plausible deniability since sharks are “cool” and often considered a “boyish” animal (for those closeted), and its colors match the trans flag.

I hold no love for the corpo and their trying to capitalize on the phenomenon is distasteful to say the least, but in a cishetero world that denies softness (physically and emotionally) I think it’s a small comfort.

Beautiful photos, thank you for sharing. What struck me most about the architecture was the use of color, especially bright or pastel ones. And lots of road space but little to no cars, just pedestrians or cyclists. It’s nice. The traditional houses look super cool, too.
