Lots of good answers, but to me it does boil down to force or “political power grows from the barrel of a gun”. That is to say, any reform or regulation you invent ultimately requires enforcement. Especially in the beginning, while you are really trying to reprogram an entrenched ‘culture’ of corruption, you will need a kind of anti-corruption vanguard to identify, investigate, prosecute and punish corruption. Certainly it should be accompanied by public education campaigns and economic initiatives.

I love how this looks like an ad in a magazine.

Yeah shit is hella expensive nowadays. Def easy to spend $60-80 on a meal for two after tip in a non-chain restaurant.

If reforms from democrats was enough, we wouldn’t have Trump right now.

I’m not advocating for it. I’m just saying that over the course of the conflict, the US has held back certain kinds of military aid which may have given some advantage to Ukraine.

Remember how the US refused to provide any air support, or even allow European allies to provide Ukraine with advanced air assets? Even before the last election, Biden was restricting aid to Ukraine.

If the US wanted to turn the tide, it could do a lot more. It really seems like the idea is to support Ukraine just enough that it can put up a fight, but not win a decisive victory. It’s not as if this is an unprecedented strategy.

I think in the case of Ukraine, the idea is literally to prolong the war and keep Russia bogged down.
Using it. Took a little getting used to, even coming from LineageOS/microG. All good now though. The only app I’ve had refuse to work is the Uber driver app (I was gonna do some food delivery).
My banking apps work fine. Sometimes they don’t like me using a VPN though.

“It’s just a flesh wound!”

Sweet, I’ll give that a try this summer.

Bit idea: like inglorious basterds except you go around carving a ‘W’ into the foreheads of anyone who cries about “whataboutism”.

Not much of a recipe, but grilled corn in the husk is good. I’ve heard people say to presoak it in water, but I’ve never bothered.

What a rad fucking poolhall.
Don’t worry, the new fed chair is gonna turn this ship around lol
