Leave it as is. Get some ESD safe packing material to immobilize any parts that might flex too much (GPU, CPU cooler). Or just remove and pack them.

I think this is the only thing I disagree with. I’ve never heard of this happening, and I’ve worked at some very large companies that have very strict hiring practices. Even for them, they just pay a company to do a background check, which is basically just looking for a criminal record or sex offender registration. Maybe google their name and glance at their social media profiles.
If you’re concerned about this, I’d just use a separate browser for those sites, so that it’s not connected to the rest of your habits.
And once in a while I have decaf if I have a coffee craving in the evening. It still keeps me up a bit, but I think that’s just the placebo effect. Melatonin helps insomnia for me.

To be clear, the system picked out faces in the crowd, in the “yes, this is a face” sense. They were labeled in what appears to be random terms like positive, kind, nostalgic, bee keeper, gif animator, extreme ironer. No personal identification.

Then you should just keep backups of your user data separate from your OS, so that you can more easily migrate.
Do they claim any kind of privacy? Have they been audited?
Define “give a good connection”. If it’s activating the microphone too, the connection quality will drop because of the bandwidth requirements.
Can it run any kind of virtualization? Pass that 16gb partition as a raw disk, run your OS installer, then boot the partition directly instead of as a VM.
That can’t be the full log. I don’t see anything indicating a crash there.
