Born and raised in London. Just a normal guy with a moral compass.
From what I’ve seen, not really yet. There’s a bunch of alternatives available, but not with the same level of themes and plugins. A bunch of developers are waiting to see where people go, but I don’t think people will centralise in the same way. I have no doubt that a stopgap fork will pop up, but a bunch of more modern things will eventually share the crown.
I hope Owen Jones takes him to the cleaners
It’s not just social media. These are things you hear everywhere from playgrounds to pubs. It’s definitely a societal issue rather than a technological one.
That said, rightly or wrongly, it’s on Arteta to get ahead of this. He knew how toxic the fanbase was when he took over and he saw how things were reverting to that in the past few weeks and rather than address the fanbase with some honesty, he’s talking about dominance and blaming balls. It’s essentially him sticking his head in the sand.
On the one hand this is a great acquisition for us, but it’s also leaving me concerned because does this mean we’re going to persist with Rice at 8? If so doesn’t that mean we still don’t have cover for DM with Partey and Jorginho leaving? I’m glad that we’re getting our primary targets though, even if they’re a little late.
Honestly, it’s ridiculous how poorly we’ve allowed the water companies to run.
Reports are emerging that we’re trying. Apparently we were rebuffed with an offer for Vlahovic last week and we’re back in for Sesko this week.
Threatening people online is an example of how sick society has gotten and how much mental health is a problem of which we all need to contribute to for our own sense of wellbeing.
That said, Arsenal fans are deluded. We keep running around with a sense of entitlement like we have dominated something. The reality is that we’ve defended the FA Cup twice and nothing else. Every other success we’ve had has been sporadic. The reality that Arsenal fans need to accept is that we’re prestigious for a multitude of reasons, our brand of football, our class, the fact that we’re always there or there abouts. But our history has glaring deficiencies, the lack of defended title, the lack of European success. I’m at a loss as to why we deserve to win.
Even the expectations on Havertz make no sense. Liverpool got European success with a striker that contributed less than Havertz. Havertz is top 3 in terms of goals and top 2 in terms of goal contributions in the league. Yet I see fans clamouring for Osimhen who is perpetually injured. How does that move us forward? We don’t play with midfielders or wingers who feed through balls. Our actual issue over recent weeks, in fact this whole season has been how pedestrian our passing has been and that’s in part because we’ve been trying to shoehorn Rice at left 8 and have been playing Partey at 6.
But the problem is, the media story is him saying we deserved to win, when we couldn’t even mount a shot on target until they got a man sent off.
I hear what you’re saying, but we need the manager to galvanise the fanbase and he can’t do that with such statements. Even the ball nonsense is just getting in the way. Sometimes he just needs to say it wasn’t good enough and we will be better in the next game.
Last season we had Ramsdale. Now we just have the terrible coach from Brentford and Raya. There’s no dissenting voices to push anyone and make them better.
We don’t have anyone willing to take the game by the scruff. Ever since Martinelli got dropped, he refuses to just run at goal and shoot because he’s worried he’ll get dropped again and that’s terrible coaching. I hate to say it but we need Arteta to step up. I would prefer that the foundation of our game is to try and win rather than not lose. Give the players a platform where they can express themselves and have magic moments.
Also want to go on record saying I’m putting this at Arteta’s door. I want him lambasted. Not sacked, but he needs to improve. Our football isn’t fluid and the chances we’re creating aren’t good or consistent enough.
I want to go on record as saying the Havertz penalty wasn’t bad, it was just a great save.
Ramsdale never held us back though. Arteta just didn’t like that he was so active in the media and so got rid, because god forbid we have personality in our squad. Raya has actually been in a terrible vein of form this season. At least half the goals we’ve conceded, he should’ve saved. The fact he didn’t even dive for today’s pisses me right off.
Seriously, I don’t think people get how fucked things are. We need to get rid of Tomiyasu, Zinchenko, Jorginho, Partey, Jesus and Tierney.
We need to bring in a goalkeeper, another right back, another centre back, a left 8, another number 6, a left winger and a striker.
What we know is that Arteta wants Zubimendi, Williams and Sesko.
Also Kiwior will probably leave.
Anyway, Zubimendi will likely push Rice to left 8, a role where he doesn’t do well because his game isn’t and hasn’t ever been to unlock his winger. Zubimendi does unlock players, but if he’s unlocking Ødegaard and Rice, we’re still not creating chances for our strengths. It’s basically akin to fake xG, so then we have our striker(s) trying to score from crosses constantly. It’s a fucking mess.
But do you think we’re bringing in all three? No and since when do three players replace 7.
Next season is going to be painful.
You’re spot on. We play for corners and celebrate winning them. Even Walcott asked what happened to Arsenal’s free flowing football?
~~There’s a few mini PCs running the Ryzen on AliExpress, like https://a.aliexpress.com/_Eu806pQ~~
Never mind, that’s the R7, not 9
We need to be more clinical, but we also need to create the types of chances that suit the players we have.
Our goal keeping coaches let us down because how didn’t Raya go in the right direction once?
Fuck Kai
I think that the way we bottled last season, we were all left a little frazzled and we didn’t attempt to fix it in the summer, on the contrary we’ve made things worse tactically. The fact that we’re doing as well as we are is a testament to how good our first team is, but we need to fill that glaring room for improvement and in not doing so, frustrations built. As the video said, you need to find the balance between I believe in you and you can do better. Sometimes that comes in the form of one person being overly critical and another balancing it out by being overly positive.
