These are not “safety” glasses for the benefit of the user, where they are the ones in control of the data. This is all for the benefit of the corporation.

These glasses do not have even a fraction of the computing power to do any of that on device. It’s a uploading everything to the cloud. The design is surveilance first ask questions later.

Godot can do arm yeah but there will be a slight hiccup in that godot xr opengl requires the multiview extensions that mesa (amdgpu, freedreno) does not currently support. So only vulkan projects will work as of right now. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/10712

Getting a godot steam frame export working should be reasonably straightforward otherwise as it is all just openxr. As it stands though with waydroid you can literally take any android openxr apk that doesn’t use meta specific extensions and it will just run out of the box on frame.

Valve have their own in-house engine and in the past they have used unity to make XR stuff like “The Lab”. They’ve never officially done anything at all with godot though.

The original was done in their in-house engine and was one of if not the very first commercial game using vulkan. It had a native linux version, hell, even the VR version supported linux natively.

This remake is UE5, windows only, and presumably directx only. It makes me sad.

I don’t get that vibe from the comment. If those games are your jam, go nuts. It would be nice to have a co op mode of an extraction shooter though so I can play with my friends in a less brutal environment.
