We should put all this work into rewriting them

I vibe coded a website that took posts from Lemmy and Reddit and fed them into OpenAI to “calm them down” and repost them as totally emotionless as possible. It did the whole thing for me (well, I had to adjust a few things).
I do. I’m seeking asylum for the US. Have your maga and eat it too.

No one is “suspicious.” Anyone who has half a brain is leaving the US market.
It’s probably for the best. Those people don’t want to be here

264.1 (1) Every one commits an offence who, in any manner, knowingly utters, conveys or causes any person to receive a threat
https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/c-46/section-264.1.html
It’s quite open ended and easy to prove. I would not at all consider this to be steep.
Now, getting that all the way through a court and to a punishment that sticks is an entirely different thing! But the data for this topic of transit violence does not at all require prosecution. So if I tell you I’m gonna fucking kick your ass, that is uttering a threat, and it would qualify.

I didn’t assume. I don’t disagree those are important topics. But, do you know for a fact the people that face those problems are the people who are the 50/100000, or 0.05% that commit “assault” on transit systems?
The article defines that as…
common assault, assault with a weapon and aggravated — and lumps together all other violent crimes, including homicide, sexual offences, criminal harassment, robbery and uttering threats.
uttering threats
The arrest rate for all violent offences reported fell from 20 per cent to 11 per cent in the same time period, according to the TTC’s numbers. The charge rate dropped from about 19 per cent to 10 per cent.
Maybe the solution is charge criminals with crimes, eh?
Transit-related crimes include incidents on public buses, street cars, trolleys, subways, urban railroads and school buses, and subway stations, bus stops and shelters.
Based on the data they provided, I stand by my opinion that the headline is baity, creates panic and drives misinformation.

What action do you think needs to be taken?

My point is to say that it was raised by 300% sounds incredible. Perhaps The headline should read “increased violence on public transit concerning”

Am I reading these numbers right that it’s Under 50 individual occurrences per year in a city?
Because if that’s true this article is very sensational. Because in the states it would be 50 times per day. So to say it is increased a significant percent sounds a bit like fear mongering
The upsetting part is that they will actually take your down payment as part of their scam

Yes, also I don’t actually want to see razor burn. Just lower the resolution so it all blends in and I can use my imagination on the rest of it!

My philosophy here is that we should attempt to avoid implementing code which could lead to invalid UI states.
Mfer never heard of scope creep, deadlines, and not giving a fuck.

Anything over 720p is more detail than I want.

I’ll put $5 on “never fucking happens”

TLDR: lazy company gives up and sells when competitors beat them

They’re just shooting at the brown side of a barn.

Crryyy me a river.
