I discovered a Nokia X20 part of the Android One program, that has native Android on it. I loved it so much, I bought a second one, even though my first is still going strong.

Two issues, no more OS updates. I’m stuck on Android 14, and there’s a weird bug with the navigation buttons vanishing from time to time.

Not a recommendation as such, more that there are phones that run unadulterated Android.

We bought exactly one Samsung Android device, that attempted to force us to use Samsung tools for:

1. Did the rental company advise the customer before they got into the car?
2. What other details were recorded?

Writing software is about problem solving skills which improve with practice. Often the process involves breaking down a problem into smaller pieces and breaking each of those down, until you know how to “solve” each problem.

Writing down each “solution” and stringing them together is then the actual “programming” part of this activity … which brings with it a whole new layer of “problems” to “solve”.

It’s as much art as it is accounting and the more you do it, the better you get at it.
