    generically speaking yes i might encourage you to find a way to insult people without trivializing the experiences and loss of those suffering from the disease and their loved ones.

    in the specific case where it is a descriptive metaphor and not an insult, e.g. “multiplies like cancer,” that’s probably fine. but if you’re using it as an insult, i for one will not come to your defense.

      But I’m not sure how it trivializes it. Using it as an indicator of a bad thing is meant to indicate how much that thing sucks. You’re calling things cancer because how much cancer sucks
