      Thanks, was pure luck, bird was hunkered down not ten feet from the paved bike trail, did not flinch as I stopped and hopped off the bike to get the shot.

        That’s so cool, they are usually more shy. I’ve seen one off a paved bike trail in South Carolina but it noped off as soon as I stopped my bike.
