Note that this is not a request for review bombing, but rather a request for your opinion.
Despite all the rage reddit is getting, more than half of the reviews are five stars, which means the people complaining are not expressing their opinion through the “proper channel”.
And remember to be honest in the review, don’t just invent problems for the sake of it. That defeats the purpose and just comes out as griefing.
Anecdotal evidence so take with grain of salt, but it must have some effect cause of how many apps beg you to rate it 5 stars
Any time an app asks me to rate it, I immediately go and rate it one star.
I used to be that way but I really depends on how its presented. I’ve had like 3 apps that I’ve found legitimately super useful but never rated, and it reminded me after a ton of use.
But apps that ask to rate within the first 20 minutes yea fuck that
@Sentinian True. I don’t use Google app store (or Apple) since years and totally forgot that. Maybe the algorithm of the shop will give recommendations based on the ratings.
It won’t deter those that are already using reddit on pc to download the app on their phones, but it may deter new users if their first experience is a shitty advertisement riddled app.
