The Chronicles of Riddick is a very interesting sci-fi franchise if you look at it. It never became a cult classic mainstream title, but The Chronicles of
Pitch Black is on a different plane than Riddick films IMHO. I don’t know anything about the intents of the production, but Pitch Black is just great standalone sci fi. Riddick movies felt like universe-dependent comic book movies always do, which is to say, different than the typical standalone sci fi.
So far, nothing beats or even compares to Pitch Black. Dark Fury does a solid to empower the lore, however.

That’s a fair assessment. With that being said, The Chronicles of Riddick is the most fun out of all of them.
